Video games are enjoyed by young and old. However the internet, magazines, and more are replete with untruths about gaming. The world is replete with things like " gaming leads to violence; gaming ruins the eyesight; kids who get involved with video games become school drop outs or fall into bad company ," and more.
Be wise and limit time of playing video games. Encourage children to play in groups. Make time to play the games with the children. Understand the games and use the rating system as a guideline when purchasing a video game. Discourage children to borrow games from peers. If they do then encourage them to share with you what they have borrowed. Always make the effort of knowing what the children are playing with.
You might remember this crazy game, and you have played it for sure, because it was released almost on every platform out there, Dreamcast, GameCube, PC and of course PlayStation 2. According to GameSpot, Sega just announced the PSP version of Crazy Taxi, dubbed Crazy Taxi: Fare Wars.
A MMORPG server launched today a server status alert tool that broadcasts instant alerts to cell phones, e-mail services and instant messengers. The service will be available for the following games : World of Warcraft, Everquest, City of Heroes and City of Villans.
Creating an MMORPG from scratch is a tedious task, even when you have a multi million dollar publisher supporting your studio. Imagine doing the same with an all volunteer team, under the vigilant and ever watching eye of the cameras. Shattered Reality Interactive, the small independent studio making Kaos War, undergoes this very treatment as we speak. Creating Kaos is a new web video reality series that launched its first episode on Games.net last Friday. Although Final Fantasy XI was the spearhead of Microsoft's presentation at E3 2005, the game saw limited success on Xbox 360. This largely happened due to the previous release of the game for the PC and Playstation 2, three and respectively two years ago. Afterwards, developers at Square Enix were rather slow to feature a sequel to the Final Fantasy series, focusing on other titles like Front Mission Online instead.
"Our rights extend to any and all MMORPGs based on Tolkien's literary works The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. As a result, we are now the developer and publisher of Middle-earth Online," a Turbine spokesperson declared.
Why? Because, simply, this game remains Blizzard's to lose - and until the company sets a foot wrong, it's going to be extremely hard for anyone else to challenge it. Given the terrible post-launch problems experienced by games like Tabula Rasa and Age of Conan, WOW Gold game hasn't exactly seen much in the way of serious challenge so far, but even if Warhammer continues to live up to expectations, it's hard to see many WOW Gold game players dropping out of WOW Gold game to engage with the newcomer.
It probably wouldn't be fair to say that Blizzard is worried. But with two determined attempts on its hegemony of fantasy MMOs coming this year (Age of Conan and Warhammer Online), last week's Wrath of the Lich King showcase at the company's Californian HQ was, at the very least, a firm reminder of why you might want to keep playing WOW Gold game. The timing, two weeks before Conan's launch, could hardly have been a coincidence. And the reminder was effective - the next WOW Gold game expansion impressed us deeply.
A major bit of WOW Gold game news passed us by in all the E3 hubbub last week: Blizzard confirmed that next expansion Wrath of the Lich King will introduce an achievement system to the game.
